Design families – Are you tired of keeping track of those pesky slips of paper that document your attendance at school events?

Designers, Exhibition Night is this Thursday, 4/2, from 6:00-8:00 pm for Da Vinci Design and Communications. Please join us as students present their most recent and innovative projects from the semester! We look forward to seeing you there!

Matt Wunder, CEO of Da Vinci Schools, will be presenting the yearly State of the Schools address this evening at the Forum at the Da Vinci Science campus. Come join other Da Vinci community members to hear about the present and future of Da Vinci, including future facilities and curriculum plans.

Spring Exhibition night is next Thursday, April 2nd from 6pm to 8pm, and all students are expected to be present and present. Come support the students as they show off the great projects they have created this semester and spend some time exploring classes across campus!
Spring Break is just around the corner. There will be no school April 4th through April 13th. Students’ first day back in school will be Tuesday April 14th.
Designers, below is your Week 29 Update. There are less than 2 weeks until Exhibition – we can’t wait to see all of the amazing work you have done! Enjoy the weekend.
Attention all Design families – the LA County Sheriff has informed us that there will be much more traffic than usual on Isis Avenue tomorrow, Thursday 3/19, at pick-up time (3:55 pm) due to filming that is taking place on the street. There will be many large trucks/trailers on Isis Avenue. Please plan accordingly and drive safely!
On Thursday, March 19th at 5:00 p.m. in Room 206 (Ms. Buckner’s room), the ATLAS team will be holding an Informational Meeting for domestic trips to San Francisco and Washington D.C. The team is trying to get large enough groups so that they can customize the tour to see some colleges while visiting. If parents/students enroll by March 30th, they will receive a $50 discount. Dear DVD parents,
This is an especially relevant article for current seniors, but is also a worthwhile read for all grade levels to read concerning college admissions decisions. This weekend, UC Davis, UC San Diego and UC Santa Cruz will be releasing their admissions decisions with other UCs as well as California state and out of state colleges in the upcoming weeks. It’s especially important for our all of us to remember what this college process is all about and to support our students in any way that we can so that they know that their entire self worth should not be tied into their acceptance or denial by any one college. This recent NY Times article highlights some important things to consider and can act as a great guide to discuss what is important about college with your students.
As always, your counseling team is here to assist you and your students as they navigate this important life decision.
