This Monday, June 2nd, Dr. Tracey Childs, a general surgeon and Da Vinci Design parent, will speak at DVD as part of a healthcare speaker series designed to introduce students to diverse careers in the medical field. Dr. Childs will share her career trajectory, and personal experiences and insights as a surgeon and researcher.
Dr. Childs received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has been in practice for 28 years. She is affiliated with multiple hospitals, including University of California Los Angeles Medical Center and Saint John’s Health Center.

Come out and support our seniors at the very first Da Vinci Schools Senior Showcase on Saturday, May 31st from 1:00-5:30 at Smoky Hollow Studios in El Segundo. Seniors from Da Vinci Design and Da Vinci Science will be displaying their senior legacy projects.
Hello Design families! We have arrived at Week 36 – the last week of regularly scheduled classes. There will be no seminars this week, but rather students will report to Period 1 to gain an extra hour of POL prep each day. POLs will begin on Tuesday 5/27 and make ups may run as late as June 5th. Grade level teams will be distributing schedules and we will post on the blog once finalized.
There is the third and final Parent Workshop Speaker Series this Tuesday, 5/20 at 6 pm in Room 103. The topic is Organization and Executive Functioning Strategies presented by South Bay CHADD. Questions? Email Natasha Morse at nmorse@davincischools.org.
