Come one, come all! Da Vinci’s first musical is finally here!! The famous Little Shop of Horrors will be performed by a cast of Design and Communication students at the forum of the Science Campus (13500 Aviation Blvd.) on Friday, May 22nd and Saturday, May 23rd at 7 PM. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. You can purchase tickets now from Mr. Kalma at Design for $5, or you can buy them before the show until 15 minutes to start time for $7. Hi Designers! After an intense testing week, we have a pretty light week in terms of events, but there are a lot of opportunities on the horizon:
1. RYMAN ARTS PROGRAM
Ryman Arts offers professional studio art classes with college and career guidance, free of charge, to talented high school students who want to pursue a future in the arts. Students are challenged with rigorous drawing and painting classes and mentored by working artist.

The Ryman Arts program provides 3 ½-hour classes at California State University, Fullerton on Saturdays and Otis College of Art and Design on Sundays for a 12-week session in Spring and Fall. The program includes discussions with visiting artist, drawing field museum field trips and college planning workshops. Each accepted student receives a full scholarship that covers the cost of instruction, art supplies, field trips and public transportation reimbursement.
2. SUMMER SAT PREP
Current 10th and 11th graders – are you interested in a Summer SAT Prep course? Two of our own Da Vinci Design senior teachers will be offering it up this summer. It will run from July 13-30 from 8:30-11:30, on Mon-Thurs only. The only cost is $25 for the cost of the SAT prep book, which you get to keep.
