Student Led Conferences – Week 8

Greetings DVD families!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Student Led Conferences (SLCs) next week, which will take place starting on Monday 10/7 through Thursday, 10/10 from 1:45 – 4:00 daily. Students will be dismissed at 1:30 pm – Monday through Thursday.

Sole4Souls Shoe Drive

The DVS Art and Design 1 students are hosting a shoe drive. Gently used shoes (no holes), sneakers, cleats, dress shoes, etc. are being collected through November 1st, and will be donated to Soles4Souls, a company that provides shoes for those in need. See the attached flyer for more information.

Upcoming: El Camino College Night 11/13

Students and Parents,

College Night at El Camino College is an open house event showcasing everything ECC has to offer! Come learn about programs and resources at our resource fair, attend workshops, enjoy donuts with the deans, chat with counselors, and take a twilight campus tour.

All prospective students, parents, adult learners, educators, and community members are invited to attend.

When: Wednesday Nov 13, 2019 at 5:30 – 8 pm.

Upcoming: Vistamar School Multicultural College Fair

Hi Students and Families,

Vistamar School in El Segundo will be hosting a Multicultural Student College Fair. This is an opportunity for high school students to meet with representatives and alumni from colleges and universities across the United States.

When: Sunday, October 20, 2019 2:00-4:30PM 

Where: 737 Hawaii Street, El Segundo, CA 90245 

They also will be hosting a couple workshops:

Financial Aid Basics: 2:30-3:00 pm en Español. 3:50-4:20 pm in English.

Historically Black College and University Experience: 2:30 – 3:00 pm

Senior Portrait Information and Sign-ups

This year, seniors have the option of taking cap-and-gown portraits during Student-Led Conference time (October 7-10) with our school photographer, Stacee Lianna. The cost for a senior cap-and-gown photo session is $40, which includes the digital copy of the photo.  Senior photo sessions are optional; the school will not be using these photos in any of its publications. Columbia College Hollywood Open House

Hello Families,

Columbia College Hollywood is having an Open House and hands-on Workshops on Saturday, October 12th from 9 am – 2:30 pm!

Available Workshops: Cinema, Acting, Editing, Screenwriting, Graphic Design + Interactive Media, and Visual Effects.

The entire day is designed to give you and your family an opportunity to explore what Columbia College Hollywood has to offer. Immerse yourself in workshops, meet other prospective students, and get to know our Faculty and  Admissions Counselors who will answer any questions you may have.
