They are looking for outstanding students who are passionate about the business of entertainment or animationand are excited for the chance to work for the global leader in content creation, production, distribution, licensing and marketing of all forms of entertainment.

DVX Information Nights – 2/21 and 2/28 at 6 pm

DVX Family Information Nights; Interest Form & Online Application Now Live
Hello Da Vinci Students and Families,
We want to share some good news happening over at DVX, Da Vinci’s college and career program.
We are hosting Family Information Nights for seniors and their families on February 21st and February 28th at 6:00 PM at the high school campus, located at 201 N. Douglas Street. Please join the DVX staff and some current students for an informational presentation, followed by a Q&A session. We will be meeting in the Multi-Purpose Room. We hope you can join us!
Our 2019-20 Interest Form and online application are now live! You can access by clicking the following links:
  • DVX Interest Form – if you are considering DVX as one of your college options, please feel free to fill out this form. A DVX staff member will contact you to answer questions and discuss how the program fits your educational and career goals.
  • DVX Online Application – once you submit the application, a DVX staff member will contact you to set up an in-person meeting.
As we finish this year off strong, we are very excited for the upcoming school year and can’t wait to meet our 2019-2020 DVX class! There will be more events to come, so stay tuned!

Calling all female students! Check out this awesome opportunity to join a 2 day entrepreneurship makeathon at SNAPCHAT!

Join She Leads at the two-day entrepreneurship makeathon hosted by Snapchat on Saturday, March 9th and Sunday, March 10th from 9am-5pm!! It will be an awesome opportunity for female students to learn from and meet some incredible founders at Snap and pitch their ideas to win some incredible prizes. The deadline to apply for a scholarship to participate is TOMORROW, February 20 th.

2019 California Legislative Black Caucus (CLBC) Scholarship Program

The CLBC announces:

2019 Frederick M. Roberts College Scholarship Program

The California Legislative Black Caucus (CLBC) Scholarship Program was established to assist deserving students by offering financial assistance to help meet educational expenses. This program provides tuition assistance to enable students to fulfill their higher education goals. Scholarship candidates must be full-time students in good academic standing at an accredited college or university. Graduating high school seniors with written proof of acceptance at an accredited institution of higher learning are also eligible.

To be eligible for selection, candidates must:
Complete the online CLBC Scholarship Application below (the application is NOW OPEN)

  • Complete the online CLBC Scholarship Application below
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Submit personal statement essay describing why  you should be selected
  • Two signed letters of recommendation dated within the last 90 days
    • Community member not related to you
    • School representative
  • Copy of the most recent transcript

Da Vinci Design Multicultural Food Fair

Parents,

Save the date, Da Vinci Design High School Diversity Council is hosting a multicultural food fair! We are looking for parents to sign up to provide a dish and help serve food.

Parent Workshop on Adolescent Depression and Anxiety

Parents,

There will be an informational workshop on adolescent depression and anxiety for Da Vinci Schools parents. Attendees will learn strategies to identify depression and anxiety in their child, as well as coping skills to address these challenges. 

A doctoral student from Pepperdine University will be at the meeting to provide you with different skills and strategies to help you ease your child’s discomfort. The presentation will be free and all Da Vinci parents are welcome to attend!

Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program

Designers,

The Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program (SIP) is a FREE, 7-week summer program for current 10th and 11th grade girls to learn computer science, get exposure to tech jobs and join a supportive sisterhood of thousands of girls across the U.S. We also provide a need-based summer stipend to cover transportation and living costs for students who qualify.

The application closes on March 15,2019.
