WLA College Course – Cinema 003

Hello Designers!

DVD will be offering Cinema 003 as a college course this semester!

Who: All grade levels

What: College course at Da Vinci Design, through West. L.A. Community College. Course will meet transfer requirements for all Cal State and U.C. campuses, as well as most private colleges and universities.

Why: Get a jump on your college credits! If you do well, it also looks great on your college applications.

Cost: FREE to all high school students. The state of California and Da Vinci Schools pick up the costs, including textbook fees. Donations to help cover the cost of the textbooks for families that are able to are appreciated.

Monday and Wednesday from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Class starts on 01/22 @ DVD in room 4101

CINEMA 003: HISTORY OF MOTION PICTURE – 3 units, UC: CSU transferable
History of the development of motion pictures, with examples, from their beginnings to the present day. Emphasis is placed on the American feature film. Classics and important films from the birth of the medium to the present time are screened and discussed with regard to their cultural influence. The course follows the evolution of the art, industry and technology of movie making.

There will be a mandatory registration with the WLA College rep on Wednesday, January 16 from 12:30 to 1:30pm at DVD in room 4101. All students will need to have the dual enrollment form completed and signed by their parents prior to registration. Please see your counselor for the dual enrollment form.
