College Knowledge Night – 4/15

Parents and students of all grades! Reminder that our annual College Knowledge Night event (sponsored by Da Vinci Design and Communications) will take place THIS upcoming Wednesday, April 15 from 6-8pm.

Parents—Have any burning questions about what it takes to get into a California state college? University of California college? Out of state college? Community college? Wondering how much college really costs and how you are going to pay for it?

Students—Wondering how to create the best college essay that will get the attention of your dream college? Heard about the new SAT and want to know what’s in store for the students who have to take it? Not clear on what tests you should be taking-SAT,ACT, Subject tests?

College admissions representatives, test prep companies and recently graduated students will be here to present on all of these topics and more!

Two special workshops will be offered for seniors and their parents:

“My college experience & what I wish I had known before I went to college” – Da Vinci graduates will share their experiences – For 12th grade students only

“Launching your student off to college” – 12th grade parent workshop only – Tips on how to prepare to send your student off to college-how to let go,how to communicate,things to buy-presented by an experienced parent of 3 college students-Special giveaway for all parents of seniors-Sponsored by Bed Bath and Beyond and Staples.

Date: Wednesday, April 15

Time:6:00-8:00pm (choice of four 25 minute rotating workshops)-Come when you can and take one, two or four workshops! Several workshops will be offered in Spanish also!

SPECIAL TREAT! On College Knowledge Day ONLY! Dress code will allow students to wear college T-shirts! Seniors can wear college t-shirts for the college they have been accepted to or are attending and all other grades can wear college T-shirt of their choice!
