Reminder: College Workshops all week!
Design families: You are invited to the first series of Mini College Workshops! Our college counselors are offering 30 minute workshops throughout Student Led Conferences this week!
There are two topics that will be covered repeatedly throughout the week so that families have a variety of time slots and days to choose from. All of these workshops will be held in the board room in the front office building at the DVD campus. We are hoping that you can make it to one of the workshops just before or just after your student’s Student Led Conference; we’d love to see you there! Counselors will also have time everyday from 3:45-3:55 for quick drop-in questions!
Topic 1: Naviance 101 (what it is, what it does, how you and your student can take advantage of Naviance right now, how to sign into Naviance accounts, walk-through)
Dates: Monday 10/6 and Wednesday 10/8
Times offered: 1:45-2:15, 2:25-2:55, 3:05-3:35
Topic 2: The College Landscape Today (average acceptance rate for all colleges across the USA, average acceptance rates/test scores/GPA for California colleges, advantages of looking out of state colleges, and a RACC presentation “Why consider out of state colleges”)
Dates: Tuesday 10/7 and Thursday 10/9
