Summer Internship Update
Hello Students and Families,
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unfortunately putting the summer internship timeline on hold until we learn more (this does not include the Boeing internship application, which is already underway). We will use this additional time to connect with our internship host organizations and learn more about the trajectory of the “Safer at Home” order for Los Angeles.
Given this challenge, we are exploring ways to provide virtual internships, mentorship, and/or career development this summer. We will keep you posted as we learn more. In the meantime, if you would like to still develop your career readiness, here are a few ideas:
- Create and share your resume on google docs with Natasha (nmorrison@davincischools.org) for feedback
- Review these resources for professionalism while working or learning remotely:
- Video conferencing etiquette
- Tips for working from home (just replace “working” with “schooling” to make it more relevant for you for now)
- Familiarize yourself with working from home technology such as Zoom, Slack, and using calendar invites
