Whooping Cough Information

Good morning,

At this time, we have 3 cases of Pertussis (whooping cough) at DV Science. Please see attachments from Department of Public Health.

DVS Pertussis (Eng)

DVS Pertussis (sp)

Pertussis is treated with antibiotics and even if your child is vaccinated, they can become ill because immunity lessens over time.

If your child is coughing, or starts to cough take your student to the doctor and let them know they may have been exposed to pertussis (whopping cough).

Thank you all and don’t hesitate to contact the school nurse with further questions.
